While having a high metabolism sounds great to lose eight when trying to build muscle, skinny bodybuilding by slim guys is tough going because of the same metabolism that keeps fat off.

Make sure your goal for fitness is therefore set for losing weight or gaining muscle and think about your metabolism in regards to this goal!

One thing I've learned is to eat as soon as you get up, a high protein and healthy fat breakfast, but stop eating at least 3 hours before going to bed.

If you want to take part in revving up your metabolism, I'd suggest exercising more. If you have a sluggish metabolism, the weekly nutrition tip gave here about eating more, doesn't make sense to me. I can see the point it is making, somewhat, but I think activity triumphs in that particular case. Plus, if one has a really slow metabolism, they may want to try green tea, ginseng and cayenne pepper supplements, for starters.
