The Connection Between Building Muscle and Burning Fat

Simply put, your body is like a machine. If you keep it in good condition, properly oiled and maintained it just tends to function better. Let ‘rust’ or other pollutants clog up the gears and you’ve got a real mess on your hands.

So for running an effective machine and getting rid of the pollutants, you’ve got to build some muscle. Having muscle is part of keeping the body machine well-oiled and functioning properly. Below is a link to an article that we found the other day that goes over the concept of building muscle to get rid of fat and why that’s important. Check it out!

It seems that if you eat very health and make sure to keep your cardiovascular skills up, your ability to burn fat becomes a lot easier.

Nice analogy Dan. I have seen a similar analogy on Fat Burning Furnace. It goes on the lines of…..Our body is similar to a machine, it also needs power(food), servicing(medical checkups) and proper maintenance(work outs).

It’s a good analogy and it works for keeping your body clean as well. Clean eating helps keep your engine running well and can definitely get clogged up if you’re continually eating bad food.

Thanks for reinforcing the benefits of building muscle mass to increase fat burninig. This is a popular discussion especially with my female clients at Club Creavalle wishing to loose wait but are afraid of building too much muscle. They think they are going to look like Ms. Olympia after doing a couple of sets. I only wished it was that simple.

Yeah, muscle is good about speeding up a person’s metabolism which, in turn, would also help burn fat. What is a fat burning furnace? There are 3 comment on here so far, that are talking about some furnace that burns fat? WTF? I like to either use gas or electric heaters in my home during the winter. Burning lipids sounds like a crude fuel source for a furnace, by the way… Ha-ha!
