Special Circumstances May Call for Special Interventions

I’m not a big fan of going under the knife to fix problems. I’m a believer that a lot of what happens to us (and our bodies) has a huge psychological backing to it. So just going under the knife doesn’t fix the route problem. But I also recognize that if you are extremely obese it might be necessary just to help you get things under control.

One program that looks like it would be good to check out if you are in this situation is Journey Lite. I won’t go into all of the details about this program, but they use the LAP BAND system which could actually help you change your habits. It basically makes it so you can’t eat as much. You can check out this link for more information: lapband Houston.

I think you should try to do whatever you can before undergoing any surgeries. But, I suppose there are probably some cases where such intervention may be necessary.

Isn’t it a shame that we have to resort to going nder the knife for weight loss, but you do what you have to do.

I’d say ‘the knife’ is a last resort only… I don’t really agree with it but then I haven’t ever been in that position so it’s hard to say. Jasmine.

The truth is most of the people don’t need a drastic intervention. In most cases is just a matter of will. It’s important to change your lifestyle, eat healthier, eat less, exercise more.

I think before going into your final decision on having a surgery for you weight problem, you might as well check on yourself if you could make another option.
Going into surgery might not fix all your weight problem and would cost you alot. What do you think?

Yeah, special circumstances may call for special interventions, as you say. Regardless, being obese is a medical problem just waiting to happen, and more people need to quit feeling so “normal” while being morbidly obese, since the majority is overweight or obese, and start remembering that the human body doesn’t suppose to mimic a fat seal or whale, etc.

My idea is that if someone is that desperate, then a better way to help them might be to have ‘care’, in the form of someone who prepares their food and doesn’t let them eat when they are not supposed to. You need a strong will to succeed in life, I think personally that the strong will is the most important factor.
