“In 2008 I Will … “

It’s that time of year again. Time to start thinking about what you want to achieve in 2008. Personally I’m a believer in setting goals year round, but it seems that New Years is always a good time to at least evaluate what you have accomplished in the last year. Its a great time for planning.

So fill in the blank: In 2008 I will _____. What is your goal going to be for the next year?

  • Lose x number of pounds?
  • Fit into a certain size of pants/dress?
  • Gain x number of pounds?
  • Increase your 1RM on the bench by x pounds?

It’s important to have a goal. Decide what a main goal might be for the year, then break it up into measurable chunks. This will give you a great jump start on 2008. Then get to work as soon as you can to meet that goal!

This is a healthy Goal but when I tried to set something before, it is not happening. So I had decided to stop planning and taking the life as it comes. This is my problem, so could you assist me in setting my attitude.

    UK HDTV,
It’s a matter of deciding that you want to achieve something and realizing that you’ll never do it without a goal. That would be the first step.

I have tried so many diet programs without success and nearly gave up, and then I bought and tried Fat Loss for Idiots. It is a no-nonsense approach that really worked for me!

Thanks for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful for me. It’s important to note that different states have different statutes and rulings under bankruptcy law, so what goes in Rhode Island might not be good in, say, North Dakota or California or Arkansas.

I really don’t like that people only take the time to re-evaluate their life on New Year’s Eve. You should really always be setting goals and working towards them.

I agree. I find that setting my goals and re-evaluating them as I go throughout the year works best for me. I think that living healthy is all about a lifestyle change, and that change is an ongoing thing that needs to be tweaked as life changes day-to-day.
