One way to get yourself on track and really start to make some progress would be to treat your fitness plan (whether it be to lose weight or gain muscle) as you would your job or your business.

I think the most important thing is to try to find something that you enjoy doing. Then you don't have to worry about making excuses.

This is an excellent question - Have you taken the time to reprogram the way you think so that your health and fitness are actually a priority in your life rather than an after thought?

There are many people who start a fitness program who fail to achieve their goals. It is hard work. Yet, as you had suggested, the mind does have to be "reprogrammed". It is a daily task as even if there is no schedule for a gym workout, walking and doing other similar activities will keep the body moving. Health and fitness does have to be taken seriously. When a person does, they will greatly benefit from the results.
