    Well, this news is probably true. Trans fats cause heart disease anyway. So best to stay away.

    Yeah, Trans fat adds more pounds than other fat… There are so many reasons why it could cause excess weight gain. For one, it is worse on your liver and you’ll be more likely to develop fatty liver with overindulgence of this mutated fat (Trans fat), which would also make it harder for your body to break down and utilize lipids properly… And of course it’s also terrible for your heart and circulatory system. They should definitely ban or limit the use of Trans fatty acids, altogether!
